Cuddles

Cuddles (and John Wick) came to the Retirement Roost Rescue in May of 2022 through Little Wanderers and Saving Bella Donna - both called "unadoptable" and entered into their Barn Cat Program. She came to us as Tawny, but my son changed it to Cuddles.

She spent her days outside with John and was a great protector. Although timid, she came around a bit after a few years, and I could almost pet her.

Unfortunately, on October 9th, 2025, the bobcat that’s been roaming the property went after our rescue cats. Cuddles hid behind the garage but ran out when John was in danger. She stood her ground for over a minute before the bobcat noticed her. She didn’t make it.

​

Rescue work is full of love, loss, and hope. Cuddles protected John so he could have his second chance. She was brave, gentle, and loved - and we’ll miss her every day.​
