Rehoming Efforts
Our rescue has limited space, resources, and volunteer efforts. Due to this, we assist in rehoming efforts. Below you will find ways to connect if you are in need of surrendering a chicken due to an emergency, that you found abandoned, that is neglected, or other urgent situations. You will also find a list of chickens in need of a home. At the rescue, we sometimes hold adoption periods that line up with our intake schedule. This is to open room up for chickens who need more care before they are healthy enough to join a flock.

Please note, we prioritize safety and well-being, and therefore, we do not support rotating flocks, rehoming hatched hens or roosters, and other situations we find do not line up with our mission. In addition, we do not help place or adopt to anyone who does not have a predator-proof setup, recently had their flock taken out by a predator, those who rotate their flocks, rehome older hens who no longer lay, or kill these animals for any reason.
